We had a great hike. We hadn’t been there for years and never for a hike. Lots of trail options and wildlife.
Great trail! Paved with some spurs. My only complaint is there are no signs marking the trail for what is located where. Twice I've been on this trail and twice I've missed the "turn" to go back to the parking areas. I've never been on a trail this nice that has no signs (except for the 911 locate signs). There were bicyclists, skateboarders, people with dogs and people pushing baby strollers on this trail.
watch out for jerks on the mountain bike trails. lot of self proclaimed professionals ride these trails and if you dont have the jerseys, top notch equipment, etc... they are complete ***holes. kindly moving yourself and your bike off the trail isnt enough for them, and i pride myself on trail etiquette. this is not an isolated incident either, has happened multiple times. Try to go early to beat the extremists. Not saying everybody out there is a jerk....just sayin....... the trail itself is wonderful. lots of great scenery. it has its share of switchbacks and short climbs. no real large obstacles or jumps. A good challenge for me (beginner -moderate skills).
This is a good paved loop around the lake at Bacon Creek Park. There was a moderate amount of walking/biking traffic when I did it this morning. The trail has more than expected elevation change, lots of gradual ups and downs and some fun turns. In general, pretty nice.
