White Lick Creek Trail is a 1.4 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Avon, Indiana that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and bird watching and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
The White Lick Creek Trail is a a cooperative effort between the Towns of Avon, Brownsburg and Plainfield. The trail is primarily in the planning design phases but some sections are open including this .67 mile segment owned and operated by the Town of Avon but passing through Avon/Washington Township Park. The trail is paved and will connect to Town Hall Park within the next two years. Accessibility: This asphalt and concrete trail is estimated to typically be at least 8 feet wide. The slope may be very steep at the ridge and estimated to range from -21% (downhill) to 19% (uphill) grade. The very steep area is marked with a waypoint. Trail goers using mobility equipment may need extra assistance to navigate this area. There are at least 8 ADA-compliant car parking spots with access aisles at the paved and large lot further south of the trailhead along Whipple Lane.
Nice easy trail if you want to stretch your legs. really pretty woods for most of it. Bridges are super cool, too!

This trail has some newly paved segments starting in the Washington Township Park and extending north of 36. As of the middle of March, 2019, there was about two and a half miles total paved for a round trip of about five miles.
