This is a loop trail within Whitewater Memorial State Park. This trail is within the Hornbeam Nature Preserve for much of the time. It will take you very near the dam at the lake. For added exercise, walk down the 100+ steps for a different view of the dam.

Nice Loop trail with a few hills. Well-maintained and easy to follow. Close proximity to the road could spoil the wild feeling in peak season but was no problem in December.

I hiked this in a counter clockwise direction. Clear path. Markers when needed. The observation deck next to the creek was nice. Over all a nice trail!

Great hike for a family. Half of the trail is easy walking. The other half will take more effort.
