Awesome trails!!!
Starting at the nature center going towards the inn pick up trail 3 heading out to trail 9 then over to bluebird hill then on to the spring shelter then out to the farthest point along snow lake then follow trail along the lakes through part of the campground and the beach then pick up the trail again heading back towards the nature center is about as close to a nice 10 mike loop my wife and I love to do!!!! Oh and don’t forget a trip up to hells point!!!!!!

Decent trails when you aren't crossing streets or walking through parking lots or shelter locations to get to the next secion of the trail. Wetlands were beautiful and walking along the lake was nice. Not very rugged at all.

Nice and generally peaceful hiking trails that are moderately rugged in terms of inclines. We did trails 3, 6, 9 and then 7. The trip up to Hell's Point on trail 9 is a moderate hike and it reaches a quiet spot at the top, but you can't really see much from the overlook due to trees. (Not a complaint, just an observation.) The trip down from the point uses stairs instead of a trail. If you do trail 7, note that it is mostly open meadow, so it's best to do that early in the day rather than in the blazing sun like we did. Most of the trails other than 7 seem to offer plenty of shade, but on 7 you are much more exposed to the elements.

Hiked for 6 hours. Trails were teeming with wildlife. Wetlands were superb! Every step was beautiful. Water refill stations were a major plus! Not busy at all, well marked and maintained, many maps along the trail and all 8 people I did run into were very nice! Would recommend and even though you have to pay to get in I will definitely be going back!

Trail three up to Hells Point and trail 9 combined is a good workout. Go left instead of right at trail beginning to go up. We've run into Turkeys, deer and beautiful moths. Mostly in shade. Dear or horse flies really bad right now. Definitely need repellent. Small portion in prairie.

We were hesitant after seeing reviews of mosquitoes, but since Indiana is essential all seasonal marshland right now, what the heck. Pleasantly surprised!

Saw very few bugs period. Loved trail 3 and 9 the most. Wish Hell's Point had been harder & the stairs going down- blah. The stables were neat. Did find overall layout of trails, bike trails & roads a wee bit confusing & there aren't some trail heads were detailed on map. But all that is to be expected in a state park we've learned.

One star off for the stupid people we met on the trail. People screaming, doing things that are prohibited in state parks, ignoring posted signage, littering profusely. It was pathetic. Please do not go hiking if you aren't prepared to be an adult. Many of the kids we saw were acting better behaved.

I really enjoyed this hike. Lots of trails to explore and enjoy. However, the mosquitoes are INSANE. I was eaten alive. I used both a spray and essential oils. neither worked. Bring something powerful along in order to enjoy all that the park has to offer. Also, there are one or two points where the map indicate trails should meet but in fact they don't... oh well.

Nice hike. Trail 10 takes you across the shoreline. It's much easier without footwear for this portion of the hike.
