It was flooded when I went. Made for an interesting adventure, but it was a bit difficult to stay on the trail. Bring bug spray because my wife and I did encounter mosquitoes and ticks. Bring trekking poles in case you have to go off trail.

The 5 dollar entrance fee was surprising, but the park is nice for picnics, hiking, and fishing.

Good hike with the kids but it can be a little muddy depending on the time of the year. Lots of poison ivy and oak. Dogs are welcome on a leash.

I have walked here many times it is only 5 minutes away from my house. Most of the time the trails are lightly used...stocked pond draws a crowd and great place to picnic.
ATTN. It is a Lake county Indiana park and there is a fee to enter.

I liked that the roots were spray painted so hikers wouldn't trip over them. Very tranquil, especially on a crisp and cool autumn day.

It's just ok... not to well maintained and the ranger there is kind of a prick.
