My son and I biked the first 10 miles of this trail starting at Peru and heading toward Rochester. The trail is paved, level, and very well maintained throughout. There were clear mile markers, and good railings along elevated portions all the way. The trail is mostly wooded as it's an old rail line, and it takes you through typical rural scenery for northern Indiana. From the trailhead at Peru to the tiny Town of Denver (Mile 1 to Mile 8 or so) is an especially beautiful ride through the woods and over creeks and rivers, especially with lovely fall foliage at this time of year. There were some fallen walnuts and twigs at spots on the trail but we didn't have any real problems Would definitely ride this trail again in the future.

Proud that this gateway to getting outdoors is apart of my hometown community. Loved biking it with my family from Peru to Bunker Hill when I was little.
