Knobstone Trail: Deam Lake to Elk Creek is a 34.4 mile lightly trafficked point-to-point trail located near Carwood, Indiana that offers the chance to see wildlife and is rated as difficult. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from April until November. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

I’m fit, yet this trail kicked my butt. You’ll need AT LEAST three full days of hiking, unless you are a freak of nature. It’s a lot of fun though and great southern Indiana scenery!

A good out and back for running. Not as large of hills as other portions of the Knobstone.
