One of my favorites at brown County State park. It was still a little muddy from the snow melt and rain fall.

Nice trail, if you want more of a challenge, go Left at fork for you will have more of an ascent. Muddy, but snow and rain just came through.

Nice loop, normally very busy trail but not on a winter afternoon with temps in upper 20s

Nice loop. Marked rugged but more moderate Had some decent climbs. If going clockwise there is a shelter about a quarter mile into the hike and would be nice foe a picnic. Nice views and small creeks. A good trail for those just wanting to hike with some elevation. Muddy, but it had rained significantly.

Great trail! I would consider it rugged due to the elevation changes but a good hike.

Trail is wide in most spots with a nice elevation change at the beginning and end. Some wildflowers to enjoy along the way but, otherwise, not a very scenic trail.

Besides being a beautiful walk, the part we loved was that the trails here in IN are nicely groomed and well marked. No chance of getting poison ivy :-) unless you intentionally leave the trail. Be aware that this hike is always uphill on the finish as the loop starts with a descent no matter whether you go clockwise or counter-clockwise. This is our first time in Brown County and I have to admit that AllTrails call this moderate and that seems about right. But the park map shows this as “rugged”. That is not true. This is less than an hour and the trail is almost always wide and level enough to walk two abreast. There is abundant mountain biking in Brown County and I love that many of the trails are designated for hiking or for biking. This is a great park.

First trail I hit at Brown County. Honestly a really good trail. There were a few steep incline/declines but none of them required any external support to climb. The trail was a bit muddy, but that was expected due to the rain recently. Overall great trail, 5/5

trail has some quite steep sections, but overall a pleasant experience. Kids ages 13, 9, engine nearly 5 were able to manage it in a couple of hours. We found a frog pond and had a shady break listening to them sing
