A great trail for bikes! Just north of downtown Indianapolis, the Fall Creek Greenway stretches to the border of Fort Harrison State Park. There are many places to access the trailhead and you can hike the full 17.6 miles or break the trail into smaller sections.
Good for a short walk. Next time we will try a longer bike ride
Beautiful! The only downside of this section is how loud the highway traffic is. Not much traffic on the trail.
The first time I rode this, it was messy and was closed around 46th to 56th. Decided to return and happy to report that this has been fixed. Two things that still need attention — bumpiness around 30th and then the 38th street corridor—a bit confusing and needs better signage. Good trail for bikes and will return to do the entire trail.
Started at FT Ben. Trail is closed at 56th St. had to turn around and come back sooner than we’d like.
A simple trail through the woods and around the lake, just enough for a lunch break. This was just south of 79th street behind Kroger’s.
I love this trail because it's beautiful along the creek & it's underutilized, but it is a MESS. There is always a lot of debris from the trees, tons of bumps & dips, & frequently geese. It's entirely different north & south of 56th St. North is wider & in much better shape. Highly recommend avoiding the bridge on 38th that is technically the trail. It's in very bad shape. Zoom in on my route for alternative options north- and southbound. The city is supposed to be widening & improving the section south of 56th St in the near future. Can't wait.
Nice smooth trail east of Kessler. Perfect to roller skate, with great views and it’s so quiet. Small twist and turns and small hills to keep it interesting. Twigs and branches littered throughout the trail but it’s maintained pretty well between Kessler 465.
