Decent hike. Went early in the day. Spiderwebs were prevalent on a hot June morning so had a stick to clear the areas in front of us. Got to see some bluffs overlooking the river. Great area at the trailhead to have lunch too
Great trail today, only saw one other couple on the trail. first climb can be tough, but its the worst one, after that it gets easier. Trail was well marked. There's a picnic shelter about half way through that over looks the Ohio River. Would be a good place to pack a lunch to. Trail was in good shape, ran into some mud on the lower section, but due to weather lately that was to be expected.
Before we hiked we stopped by the Nature Center and saw their collection of snakes and turtles. They also have 2 large Oxen and 2 donkeys there on site.
