Black Rock Barrens is a 0.7 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Warren, Indiana that features a great forest setting and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is best used from April until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

when you start heading down the big hill at the trailhead turn left at the bottom not right. They both look like they are the trail but the right way leads to nowhere and I dont even think it's part of the trail.

Black Rock Nature Preserve is the large rock outcropping and the trail, Black Rock Barrens Nature Reserve, is down the road a bit from the rocks, just fyi, as we found this confusing when looking for the trail. Without foliage on the trees it was an awesome vantage point of the Wabash River and the rock formations were a true rarity in the Midwest. 10/10 would visit again.
