Wetland trail, mostly boardwalk. Short sections of standing water. Great for birding. Eagle and nest.

Great walk! The trail gets a bit wet when it rains, so make sure to wear good boots. The walk was amazing and easy!

HikingGreat!

I am a boardwalk lover. This trail sure gives you lots of boardwalk. So, I loved it. You start out on a gravel path with wet woods on either side, but then soon come to the newer plastic (I assume recycled) boardwalk. That boardwalk goes through a marsh and forms the stem of the lollipop. The loop part of the hike mostly consists of wooden boardwalk which takes you through various degree of wetness, from marsh to intermediate area where you see water where trees fell over, to a more dry woodland with a stream very very slowly barely moving through it. At times the water was fairly high, in a couple spots seeping through the wooden boardwalk and in places the wooden boardwalk was sinking into the soil. Do watch out as in some places some planks are raised, while some are lower, so easy to trip. But, as I boardwalk and marsh/bog lover, I loved this trail. Beautiful marsh plants both above and below the water. And really neat to see the water where trees fell over in the spot where the trees used to stand. And the slow stream was pretty. And loved both boardwalk types. Oh, saw a snake, frogs, turtles, and a salamander.

Drove an hour and a half to get here and the main path back to the boardwalk section was flooded over deep enough that we couldn't continue. Very disappointed. We'll definitely come back later. The frogs were LOUD!

Really interesting spot. Starts with a gravel path, plastic path and a wooden loop path. People are encouraged to walk in one direction to promote social distancing. Loved this trail!

Parking lot was full so we parked along the gravel road, which was littered with trash. Very saddened to see that. The walk was great! Completely flat terrain, but was a little wet when we went. A lot of other people were out there, which is great to see! Another notable thing: there is a TON of dog poop along the trail. We passed atleast 8 piles during the .8mi we walked. (We didnt walk the whole thing due to a time constraint) On the way to Beanblossom we passed Creekbend Vinyard which was fun to see. We will definitely be back!

Bird watchingGreat!

Great for birdwatching and enjoying a quiet natural area; there is a gravel road from the parking lot to the boardwalk so I’m glad I had on hiking shoes

Easy trail with great vibes. The boardwalk comprises the whole 2 mile loop, so if you're afraid to get dirty this might be a good trail for you. Lots of pleasant views in a young forest

Moderately busy, nice trials, and cool lookouts! Very easy and flat. Bring your mask during COVID because it’s hard to social distance on the narrow path
