Easy and relaxing. Trails are smooth, wide, and level. Nothing too exciting.

Only did the river/tree trail. I grew up here, so "prairie" views, don't juice me. At canoe launch watched two deer cross the Sangamon. My sister has never been hiking, watching her face light up as she learned about ecosystems.

One of the best displays of prairie wild flowers

This is a great easy hiking trail. It has a nice mixture of river/wooden areas and prairie area to walk. The areas around the river can flood after rains, but the prairie area has always still been walkable when I've been there. Bugs a usually a problem so big spray is a must.

Great Trail for all ages. Is flat enough that strollers can traverse quite easily.
