Stairs are great for a workout! Packed on the weekends, but the trail isn’t bad. Other areas to park besides by the stairs if the lot there is full.

Great trail, good shade and easy hike. Not all sections good for strollers and babies.

First time on the trail, and I was very pleased! Lots of shade and just enough hills to make it interesting. We goofed initially, and went up the stairs because we thought it started at the top. Nope. Good warmup!

Great trail - unpaved so very few cyclists. Mostly walkers and horses. It’s quiet and beautiful trees. One of our favorite hikes when we can’t drive too far.

If you’re hiking the yellow trail on a weekend, I recommend not starting at swallow cliff, where the app has you start. We arrived at about 2pm today (Sunday) and were in line for a parking spot for about 30 min. There are some stairs leading up to a house there that seem to attract a lot of non-hikers/cyclists. We passed by a handful of other entrances with much less busy parking lots.

The trail is lovely and mostly shaded, so it's nice even on a hotter day. Not too much elevation change, but there are a few hills. Bikers, hikers, runners, and horseback riders seem to share the trail well and everyone was courteous about signaling and passing each other. Not too crowded on a Friday morning; we saw a couple dozen other people throughout the whole 7-mile loop. Most people put on masks when they saw others. Definitely enjoyed this trail and would come back to the area for more hikes.

Really fun hike with our 3 kids, not crowded & lots of good hills & trails to discover; lots of shade kept us cool on a very hot day.

Nice shaded trail in great condition. Picked up at Horsetail lake. A little bit of horse droppings but not terrible. Can be a bit congested at trail intersections. Plenty wide enough for social distance.

This was a nice, mostly shaded trail with easy-to-follow signage. Not too many people, even in the middle of the day. Sandy, crushed stone path is a nice surface to walk on too.

Mountain bikingGreat!

Make sure your brakes work well, there are a few downward grades that are pretty steep and long. I wouldn’t say this is kid friendly. Definitely more a trail geared towards someone looking to get a great workout in.
