Not much of a trail to follow. It is mostly just some small paths worn by visitors that are easily lost in the brush. There is more nature preserve than shown here, but this hike ended when a wide stream was reached with no clear crossing without getting rather wet. Lot's of creeks to ford. It's a neat place, hiking along a snaking stream in the bottom of a canyon. Lots of rock bluffs, some cut into by the stream making shallow caves.

Not bad hiking for central Illinois. Fairly kid friendly too. There are some creek crossings but at times the creek is barely a trickle so it isn't that big of a deal. Just wear some rainboots if possible.
