Awesome trail! Some of the parking lots to get into the trail were closed due to COVID but we found a picnic area that was open, and was able to park there. Great for biking and walking!

We did this trail as a family (kids ages 8 and 10) last fall, it was nice easy riding. Little shade so early morning or late afternoon best.

This trail is actually much further than shown. A part of it goes through Wayne Fitzgerald State park all the way to Rend Lake College. They also plane to make the trail circle the lake, by going across the bridge and up gun creek. Here's a blog post about the trail. https://chrisbunton.blogspot.com/2016/10/rend-lake-bike-trail.html

Great workout to do the entire thing at once.

The app has it listed as a biking/hiking trail of moderate difficulty which couldn't be farther from the truth. I walked 3 miles out and 3 back on a wide, paved walkway. There are parts that are a little gravely but otherwise it's basically a sidewalk. There are lovely views and plenty of delicious blackberries so that was very pleasant. Bring sunscreen as there's little tree cover.

road the trail yesterday on my road bike and have to report that the trail wasn't as fun as I hoped. it was like riding on a sidewalk (alittle rough). it made the experience less enjoyable. I have been on gravel trails that were similar. I'm glad I road it for the experience, but wouldn't ride it again.
