Great trail for mountain biking. But as a slower hiker like me maybe a little dangerous. You need to share an awesome narrow trail.

HikingGreat!

It is a great trail for either, bikers or hikers. It was our first time, my whife and i enjoyed it a lot, we thought it would be a good idea to have bikers and or hikers designated areas instead. At time trail is to narrow and dangerous for both hikers and bikers. We are slow walkers took us 5 hours to finish we felt great once we were done. Needs to be marked better, when getting of 95th we got lost. The GPS had us on the water.

Awesome trial but terrible for hikers. Way too narrow and busy with TONS of bikers. We were constantly moving over and ended up in a spur bush which was annoying. Biker haven but hikers beware!

I found it a bit difficult trying to get on this trail from various parking lots as there weren't always clear markers at those points and within the trails themselves at times. Otherwise, it's clean and pretty - you just have to watch out for mountain-bikers if hiking or running.

First off, shoutout to this app. Love it! Went to mountain bike parking entrance, went for a 10-mile hike, 95% of it is shaded. Very comfy especially under 90+F weather in the morning. Definitely a paradise for hardcore mountain bikers. Because I was on foot, I had to walk and dodge bikers half of the time. Otherwise I would have enjoyed the environment more. Paths could be very narrow (as narrow as 1-foot) in spots. Bikers were 99% polite and nice, of course there's this 1 person who yelled "mountain bikes only no walking dude" which ticked me off for a minute. If you're a hiker like me, tune down your music volume so you could hear bikers behind or in front of you comiFirst off, shoutout to this app. Love it! If you're a hiker like me, wear trail shoes for some rocky paths, tune down your music volume so you could hear bikers behind or in front of you coming by. Be on the lookout on curves for bikes approaching. Don't go after rain as trail can get muddy. Finally get this app for guided trail paths, it got me out of trouble as the "bottom" path was closed due to fix up and I had to do a detour, super handy app!

Great trail! No bugs today!! It’s been pretty dry the last week, so go after a dry spell. I definitely zig zagged off this specific route a few times and would suggest doing that if you want to add more miles. It was 91 degrees today, and I didn’t really notice the heat because the trail is mostly shaded.

Almost no one on the trail today and only muddy in a couple spots. Very buggy so get your DEET on. Still open only Mon thru Thurs due to Covid 19 so plan accordingly.

Palos Preserves, including this trail, are closed Friday-Sunday indefinitely during Covid. Wish I would have known that before driving an hour on a Friday morning.

Normally an excellent trail for mountain biking but the last time I went there was a section in the woods that had shards of broken glass :( I've been here a few times and it's the first time seeing it. When it's cleaned, the trial is 5 star worthy.

BEWARE, a portion of this loop does NOT connect and you will be walking along the very busy Wolf Rd. and 95th intersection. There is not a pedestrian crossing here so cross at your own risk. This loop is part of the Palos Trail System and the All Trails loop shows the purple and blue trails connecting however they do not. Although, this was a minor inconvenience. Overall, a great trail. Lots of wildlife, we saw (and heard) many bull frogs, Scarlet Tanager birds and swans. The trail was wide enough in most parts that we could move aside for other hikers or mountain bikers. The majority of the trail is shaded. We ended up cutting this loop in half because we did not have enough time to go the full 9 miles. If you look at my recording you can see which trails to follow to make it a 6 mile loop.

Wow really great. Very rustic compared to other suburban trails. Peaceful. The smaller lake in the elongated shape (was it sauginash) was very cool. Bullfrogs!

Mostly wooded, with frequent (but subtle) paths that bring you to nearby ponds and lakes. Complex trail network when you get to the Wolf Woods and Pulaski Woods sections, but it is extremely well marked with numbered intersections and maps.

Today was fun on this trail but it was super muddy and you aren’t supposed to use these trails when muddy. I didn’t realize this until I already was a little over half way back though :-/.... these are nice challenging trails with gradual inclines that make for good exercise. Not too far from Chicago! I only saw a couple other hikers and I didn’t see any mountain bikers..
