Old School Forest Preserve

Old School Forest Preserve Trail is a 2.7 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Libertyville, Illinois that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Nice trail to bike with the family. Pretty heavily trafficked. The inner trail features an exercise loop with several fun obstacles.

Nicely wooded areas, and a ski hill are prominent at this site. Plenty of parking for picnicing, too. I used to frequent this FP quite often, but have moved on to more isolated trails. The DPRT touches this FP at the front parking lot.

nice trails that are pretty heavily used on the weekends. great for fall colors. i mainly use this for running hills "sled hill". killer workout

Good trail for young kids to get used to hiking. I've seen deer there with my sone a couple times around dusk.
