Green Earth is an excellent organization in Carbondale that provides oversight of several preserves within city limits. This particular location has access to two trails that total about a mile in distance. A great place to experience seasonal wildflowers with the prairie restoration, in addition to almost always some wildlife. Recent additions include bike racks, benches, and garbage/recycling receptacles. Check out Green Earth's website to discover other trails and events that are hosted in the community!
