Mountain bikingGreat!

Biggest problem is hikers that can’t read a simple sign! Lots and of good signs in the park dictating direction based on the day of the week but many can’t seem to read or understand them. Also it seems that hikers think when the trail closer sign says the trails are closed it doesn’t pertain to them. All about respecting the park and reading and obeying the user signage.

HikingGreat!

As some others have said on here, South Loop is better scenery than the North Loop. South Loop also has a couple wooden berms right in a row and a little boardwalk bridge that is interesting and fun for hikers and bikers alike. And since it is a trail made by mountain bikers it is also a really fun trail to hike with lots of curves and little ups and downs and scenic. The North Loop is much more flat, but does start with a pretty bridge and lots of purple flowers that smelled really good.

Fun place to day hike. The south loop is a little more challenging and definitely more scenic. The biggest issue I had was the constant traffic noise from nearby highways.

This is one of my favorite places to hike in the QC. There are quite a few mountain bikers, but they’ll let you know they’re coming and it’s easy enough to step aside. Saw a big ole turkey just before the prairie on the upper south loop.

Pretty decent trail. Views of the Mississippi. Super easy trail. Nice place to go to work off all this rich midwest food! Definitely think it would be cool to mountain bike here for an hour or two.
