Don’t know who wrote the original descriptions of each trail in Chicago but the trails are not near Chicago but are IN the city of Chicago!

This walk can take you to so many different sights it’s worth it. But if you’re staying in this path get on the centennial wheel.

Walked this trail a lot as a tourist. Fantastic trail with so many sights to see, from grand buildings to Lake Michigan.

This used to be my running trail! Super crowded if the weather is nice, but hit the trail before 7 am and it’s almost entirely yours. Great for running, walking, biking, or rollerblading.

Nice route when there isn't too many people! A nice taste of the city life and it's sky scrapers and concludes with a beautiful scene of Lake Michigan.

It was a crowded summer day when we walked this one but was a good walk. Plenty to see and some great views of Chicago architecture.

I started from Lincoln Park, walked the Magnificent Mile to the Navy Pier and then followed the lake shore trail all the way back to the Field Museum. The scenery was wonderful.

Nice little walk through Chicago, can't really call it a trail though.

You can ramble about the Loop downtown area, but the best walk is one led by a docent from the Chicago Architectural Foundation. They even lead tours from river boats. The city itself is a museum of various excellent styles of styles.

I miss Navy Pier. It is a fake, but great, ocean view with sail boats, yachts, lighthouses, crashing waves, and an eclectic mix of people.

I agree with other reviewers that is not really a "trail" in a hiking sense but walking in this part of Chicago is interesting and worth the walk.

Very nice view and fun if you're not from town, but I wouldn't necessarily consider this an actual hike. Great architecture thought.

Tourists clog this place every summer. Buying junk they could get at home. You want to hike? Go down to the lake shore. This walk will not be relaxing or fun.

I love the Magnificent Mile because it takes you from Downtown Chicago to Navy Pier. Plus, their is plenty of shops along the way and lovely scenery as well.
