there are so many places here to hike, from easy such as garden of the gods, to moderate such as rim rich and high knob. The camp at pounds hollow has trail heads that intersect with the swimming hole in the valley to the trails at rim rock. High knob offers a view at the highest point in southern Illinois to caves and beautiful rock faces. very nice area to spend the day. The iron furnace is a historical site but can be hiked to swimming holes and intersects with the equestrian trails.

Ok we stumbled on this trail after doing the Indian Point trail near Garden of the Gods. My son saw a small sign that said Pharoh Trail 108. We went on this trail until it ran into the River to River Trail which then ran into the Garden of the Gods trail where we got off. So in all we ended up jumping from trail to trail. It made for a really nice and challenging hike for sure!
