We started in Colona rode to Genseo and back. Trail route is great, sadly it is in need of TLC. Definitely not a road bike trail. It is necessary to get off and walk your bike through the ditch when the trail ends randomly. I would definitely do it again though.

Very flat trail that parallels the Hennepin Canal.

It is paved all the way, but since the road is not maintained very well, grass has overtaken the road in many places and in places there are potholes. No tree roots though!

I ran this trail from Sheffield to Colona mainly at night. I imagine this would be a beautiful run during the day. Depending upon the time of day there would be very little shade since trees only are on one side of the trail.
