The Friends Creek trail is located adjacent to the main camping area inside of Friends Creek County Park. It is the only trail on the east side of Friends Creek road. Upon entering the park, turn south, where the trail head parking area will be on your left. The trailhead is located to the south west, just beyond the picnic tables. This trail takes you along Friends Creek, and is an easy .7 miles. Beware, if there have been recent heavy rains, the creek may spill over onto the trail. Due to the trail running only feet from the steep bank, this trail would be very dangerous to use while the water is up.

Great autumn hikes

Decided to make a visit to Friends Creek, as I grew up only a few miles away. It had been a while since I'd been out there, and I was really impressed by the quality of the small country park. I knew this would be a bit of a roll of the dice, as it's been raining...and I remember that the trail runs along the creek most of the way. Although the creek wasn't technically out of it's banks, there was a lot of left over standing water around the low spots, some places nearly 10" deep, which made for wet shoes. Overall it was a nice trail with great views of the creek. Plus, it's short if you don't have much time....You can complete it in less than 20 mins.
