Excellent well maintained trail. This trail will take you through almost every type of landscape Illinois has to offer. It has everything from lowland creeks, timber, flood plains, strip mine lakes, and of course prairie. The area along the Kickapoo Creek has to be some of the best bird watching in the mornings. A great hike alone or with the family. Make sure to visit the animal exhibits while you are here. There is a admission fee.

nice quiet trail. not a challenging trail, just a nice walk thru the back of the park.

Not for the faint of heart. Foliage can become overgrown, so hiking boots and pants may be advised. Hills weren't bad, but there are almost no places to sit and rest (other than the few felled trees that cross the path). Probably ran into fifteen spider webs on the hike.

Nice and scenic hike but it's only free to members. Not an easy hike in the summer due the long stretch in the sun.

This trail is located inside Wildlife Prairie Park so there is an admission charge. The first part of the trail runs alongside Kickapoo Creek it then goes through a wooded area with some open spots. The trail is wide and flat and very easy to walk. Since you start and end at the parking lot, you end up walking closer to 4 miles total.
