We had an awesome time on this trail!

The trails offer plenty of wild flowers to view and some nice open ranges as well. The hike itself is actually harder than many trails as there are several elevation changes.

Canoeing south from downtown Oregon to Grand Detour is awesome. Takes about 4 hours. Camping at Castle Rock State Park campgrounds is by canoe only. Peaceful, serene. Not busy. Rock River is a bit muddy and smelly, however. It's downstream from industry.
