great hike! except for the last mile or so, on the side of the road/bike path! not convenient for my pup who loves to run freely!

Of all the hikes you can do in the Sun Valley area, this would not be the one I’d head to—circles mansions and a golf course and roads.

This was a really nice trail. Beautiful views! A nice hike close to town for those who are in the area, but don’t have time for an all-day adventure!

HikingGreat!

A nice easy loop with some moderate uphill sections.. good for introductory hikers and kids. The first part of the hike is not at all scenic, and even unpleasant - on a paved road and large amounts of the trail were directly adjacent to countless loud construction sites. The second half of the trail where it opens up to the undeveloped part of the Valley was worth it. Great views for little effort! However, at certain points this felt like more of an urban walk than a hike

HikingGreat!No shade

My favorite hike for an introduction to Sun Valley. Start at Saddle & Sun Valley Road and go clockwise. There are 2 paths to the top, straight up from the small parking lot on Saddle, or go clockwise toward the SV Village entrance, then hook left for the longer, but less steep path. Going slow, it is about a 20 minute climb. Once you get to the top (300+ ft gain in altitude) its fairly flat. As you walk the circle, you get views of Ketchum, Big Wood, Adams Gulch, assortment of our magnificent mountain ranges, and Sun Valley Village. There are benches placed every 20 minutes or so, don't forget to stop and look at the beauty around you. If you want to avoid the boring part, you go with a friend and leave a 2nd car at the SV Golf Course.

Great hike! We accessed the trail from Saddle Road parking lot, which is a steep accent to connect to trail. After that, it was a nice meandering trail. Little to no shade though, so plan accordingly. Lot of mountain bikers, but plenty of places to step aside and let them pass - no problem! loved it, will definitely do this again

A good entry level hike, for those that don’t mind 1/3 of it on paved path. Good to run.

Easy hike with lots of beautiful wildflowers and lovely views once you get away from the roads. In July there was hardly anyone on the trail.

Hiking

I’m told locals hike this trail when they can’t get out for a proper trail hike. Much of this trail is now developed with McMansions. Also a large section of the last half is “hiking” parallel to a road...

We did Carol’s trail, a shorter version around the mountain. About 1.5 miles with amazing views of the resort and the mountain. Very enjoyable.

Nice stroll with the dog...would be fun to Mt Bike. Open views, not technical, a nice introduction to the area. Probably very hot if it's sunny.

Hiking

I did this trail today, the end of december. it is an awesome snow hike and about 75% of the trail was packed down and easy to hike. the other 25% was about a foot deep and you have to trudge through it, not too bad though. the views are amazing and the trail is very graceful. would definitely call it easy rather than moderate even in the winter. took me almost 2 hours and it was a wonderful time.

Beautiful views along the way though recent development of some of the land takes away from the hike.
