Description
Waypoints (0)

This popular path loops around Tubbs Hill just south of Coeur d'Alene. You can walk from downtown, pass McEuen Park, and get right onto the trail! There's even a beach on the southwestern side of the loop. Take in the views of Harrison Slough, and then loop back to where you started! Although this trail is mostly flat for the first mile, the trail is narrow, dirt and has many obstacles such as rocks and roots. For these reasons, it is not considered wheelchair or stroller accessible, although some users may be able to navigate it with their equipment.

HikingGreat!

Super easy walk with spectacular views! We did the loop and found it pretty mellow, only one steep incline. Trails are connected at different points, options to continue on main loop or summit. The main loop crosses a paved street at one point, and signs were unclear on which trail was heading it which direction. The trail is also pretty close to downtown, which makes it crowded. The views make it all worth it.

This is the most beautiful hike. It’s a great place to clear your mind and enjoy all Gods beauty. Many places to stop and rest, picnic and swim and take lots of beautiful photos. One of my favorite hikes.

A very nice trail for hiking and running. Beautiful views of the lake. Dog and kid friendly with a nice park for the kids to play in before or after.

Fun & easy. We started at 6:30 (proved a little late as we finished in the dark). We took tons of what will hopefully be great pictures; sunset over the lake w/beautiful rock outcroppings, trees & colorful foliage. In addition, there was a good concert going on in the park (“Live After 5”), so we had some great music at the beginning and end of the loop. Pay $1/hour for parking.

Easy walk if you just do the loop around. We did the summit (2,503 ft) and there are some parts that were a little steep and rocky but it was still an easy hike. Nice views of the water all around the main loop trail!

Easy 2 mile loop. Dusty and dry. We walked it counter-clockwise. I did it in flip flops, so it’s not very challenging. Great views of the lake!
