5 stars for the view. My wife says 4 stars cause no lake at the end. A real challenge but trail is good condition. There is water 90% of the trail for dogs. By the way this hike is moderate - steep climb to the 9500 foot summit.

Quiet trail along a meandering stream. Beautiful wildflowers. First 100-200 yards included stream crossing on fallen logs, followed by a steep slope incline. The rest of the hike is very easy.

Great first hike in this area. Beautiful and easy. Very first part just a slight hill, then just an easy hike with defined trail. Would do again.
