Snow Peak is a 8.2 mile out and back trail located near Wallace, Idaho that offers the chance to see wildlife and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is best used from July until September.
This is where the mountain goats are! Beautiful hike, long but worth it. Some flat areas near the summit to throw up a tent, then wake up early to watch the goats lick the walls of the lookout tower. Once darkness hit we could see the lights of a highway way off to the south that figured could only be Highway 12 down by Orofino!! This is going to become an annual hike for us, those goats are damn majestic.
