Silent City of Rocks is a 2.2 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Almo, Idaho that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and rock climbing and is best used from May until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Like the trail guide says, there are so many interconnecting trails here that it is hard to describe them separately. I recommend just exploring the area rather than worrying about a destination, although you can make a loop around most of the park: Parking Lot Rock is a good place to start for that.
If you're looking for incredible scenery well off the beaten path, great place to hike etc. Drove up from salt lake for the day. went April 1st- the upper trails were still covered with deep snow drifts but the lower trails were all clear. Few rock climbers we stopped and watched, apparently busier during the warmer months. Passed cars and hikers on the roads, but plenty of trails you can put together: never saw another soul once we got out on the trails.
