Got caught in a hail/thunderstorm for about an hour at the ridge. The views were beautiful before and after. Aspen's are just beginning to turn.

Great trail. Plenty of incline mixed with some short leveled spots at just the right time. Mostly shady. Really wonderful views.

It is called BLM overlook and the trail start on the right hand side. Shaded hike for most of it. Like other recent reviews mentioned, great afternoon hike even if it is hot weather. Kids enjoyed the last exposed part as they could see the overlook deck. We ended up putting our feet in the Big Wood river at the bottom next to the bridge. Nice ending. (The trail gets your feet dusty so it was a dual purpose as the kids wore they keen sandals. )

Lovely 2 hour hike almost entirely in the shade - last .3 going up in open facing East so a good afternoon hike. Trail conditions good with a few rocky spots. The “peak” BLM lookout spot provides endless views up and down Sun Valley. Not too much traffic - only a couple bikes - doesn’t seem like a great bike trail (tight and steep fall off). Hiked 1 Aug 20 - very hot day but Trail was nice. You can grab a beer at the SV chalet and/or put your feet in the Big Wood River at the end.

Great opportunity to see and experience the best of local Ketchum/Sun Valley. I hiked pass the lookout on the way to the top today. There was no snow and the trail is in awesome condition. Once though pass the lookout the weather changes and eventually the trail is covered with snow...but it is all awesome.

We started late, again, but it was mostly shady and there was a nice breeze. It climb was a climb for us 60ish folks, but worth it!

Hiked to roundhouse gondola 4.2 miles. All up hill but in mid July the wild flowers were lovely! The gondola is free to go down. The lodge had cold beer for me and ice cream for my seven year old, he did the hike in two hours- we pushed him because the last gondola ride was at 4:30 and we got a late start. Super fun for kids as we used the gondola and ice cream as bribery to keep him going.
