This is indeed a beautiful drive! It's neat seeing the mountains far out in the distance and as you approach the valley, you literally drive in between them with mountains on each side literally hundreds to thousands of feet above you. As you head north of Ketchum you begin really climbing into the mountains and get your more typical high elevation passes and high-up long range views, before leveling out again a bit until you reach Stanley, which makes for a great base camp for the many nature options in the area.

This is a scenic route follow 75 towards Boise. There are multiple hot springs if you drive inland. Road quality is OK in dry weather. Rutted

One of Idaho's greatest treasures is right here in the Sawtooths. This area is so fantastically beautiful. I love visiting this area. The scenic drive is just the beginning!
