Pretty nice trail! I was traveling for work and only had some time during the hottest time of the day to get outside. Went around 3PM in July... bad choice. At the trailhead I took the right trail per everyone’s suggestion. There was some decent shade along the way. I went about 1.8 miles and turned around didn’t do the loop because it was about 90 degrees. Pretty nice views from about 2 miles up still!

Lots of bugs - bring bug spray!

Very busy trail, particularly at weekends with dog walkers. Great views over Sun Valley and also back to Ketchum and up the Trail Creek Valley. Nice leg stretch.

This trail was decent, views were nice. I take my pup trail running and half of the trail was shale and rough on her feet. Nice, short jaunt. However there are so many incredible trails around here that had I known the composition, I definitely would have driven some extra miles to find a better-suited trail for my dog.

A great hike and you can do it all year—even in the dead of winter. Stay to the right of the fork in the summer for shade on the climb up.

Really fun hike. Very pretty and a lot of wildflowers. It took us a little under 2 hours to complete. Highly recommended

Average, in my opinion, but I'm from SLC so I'm probably spoiled. Lots of pretty flowers, including hundreds of sego lilies up on top.

As another reviewer says, take the fork to the right so you're in the shade for the climb up. Beautiful hike...so many wildflowers even in mid July!

Nice quick hike with pretty good views and a quick return. I bet in September it is spectacular with more leaves on the aspen!taking lots of photos with several stops only took 2 hours.

One of my favorite trails ever. Several different ways to go at cross trails. Enter at the Hemingway Memorial.

Hiked the loop with the take-off point at the Hemingway Memorial. Spectacular views and wildflowers. Still very green in early July. Two nice memorials at the top.

Beautiful hike . Loved the trail the wild flowers and aspen trees! Seemed like a pine tree came along right when we needed shade .

Decent hike with steady incline and well-marked path. Limited parking (12 cars) at base. @ 0.3 miles up the trail there is a marking splitting the loop. I strongly recommend taking the loop counter-clockwise as the right path has plenty of shade and many places to rest. The path on the left is fully exposed switchbacks through sagebrush with no shade and no easy places to rest. This hike basically follows the bottom of the gully then does a few long switchbacks through high pines before walking down the spine to a decent overlook on the return.

Great hike with stunning views of bald mountain and the ketchum valley. Beautiful meadows of wildflowers in the summer, and nice shade in the first part of the hike.

A great loop hike with beautiful views of Baldy and the valley. Two miles from town, this hike is a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Climb up a valley with aspens and make sure to look back, the views behind you are great. Loop back on a ridge with views of Baldy and Sun Valley below. Great hike for kids, bring the family.
