5/24/20 beautiful summit views. Definitely have to work for the view though. Steep parts. Parking was an issue there are only so many spots and you aren’t allowed to park on the side of the road so if you don’t get a spot you can try Hemingway memorial park. Both of those lots were full so we waited in a roundabout until someone came down from the hike.

I loved this trail! I’m writing this review late but I did hike this towards he beginning of May or end of April...great hike! It was windy that day and maybe a patch or two of snow, which might be gone by now. Loved it!!

Dog friendly, beautiful views, shaded forest on my way down for the pup. We turned left at the first loop option. The top lookout was “magical”. SV at its finest. Coming down the backside was a bit tuff for him and two athletes knees , considering the grade and gravel. However there is water and soft ground prior. The walk is a local favorite. Good for the soul.

Did this hike in the early afternoon and absolutely loved it. Steep at parts and a great mix of foliage and views. Stunning panorama of the valley for miles 2-3. Highly recommend!

Lovely hike. Ascent to start and then flat/downhill the rest of the way. Great views of the valley! Felt challenging but not too challenging.

Fantastic hike. During the current time there were plenty of mud, patches of ice and snow in areas with minimal sunlight. Overall once you get up top its a gorgeous view. Also beginning of the hike doesn't start where you park. From parking location hike is 3.8 miles and 1010 feet of elevation change.

A trail-runner favorite around the valley. Great, sustained elevation gain with nice vistas as a bonus. Manageable *roughly* May-November, expect some ice or snow in sections towards the ends of the season. Link up the middle of the run with Procter Mountain Peak for an extra lick.

Nice hike...aspens are starting to turn. Did the loop counter-clockwise, as previous reviews said it would be easier on the knees. If we lived in this general area, we would try to do this hike daily (great exercise).

Always a fun first hike when we head out west, but I swear that it gets a little higher every time! A great warmup before heading up to Stanley.

Hiked yesterday (Labor Day) with my husband, father (73 yo) and French Bulldog and we had a great time. Wasn’t crowded at all. Trail was super well maintained as always, and offers superb views of Baldy. Lots of shade on first half, with the second half/descent mostly exposed, so bring sunscreen and wear a hat. Love this fun little hike.

I see complaints here of dog poop. There is a poop bag dispenser near the trailhead at the end of Fairway Rd but it was empty. Bring your own bags. Hey Park Service! Don’t you know it’s not enough to install a poop bag dispenser? You also have to KEEP STOCKING IT! Forever!

Great steady climb with so many switchbacks, it’s easier than it sounds. There are some steep exposed parts (not my fave). But the views at the summit are worth it. Took us 3 hrs

Very pretty, especially for being so close to a residential area. Went in the heat of the afternoon and it was stuffy and hot all the way up (decent shade, but air was thick with humidity). Views at the top are quaint but spectacular! Perfect for a quick day hike after hours of computer work (what I did). Definitely recommend!

Nice moderate trail with a mountaintop of blooming lupine! Do the loop counterclockwise to stress your heart more than your knees.

My favorite so far! We opted to stay right, and tackled the steep uphill trek. not going to lie, it was tough!- still adjusting to the altitude changes. BUT- once we reached the peak it was SPECTACULAR- Lots of wildflowers blooming and amazing views of Sun Valley!

My favorite hike so far. We did all 3.7 miles. Amazing views and wonderful path. We had a blast.

Somewhat strenuous hike uphill, especially if you go to the right at the fork instead of taking the switchbacks, but well worth the effort for the amazing views and gorgeous fields of wildflowers at the top. This is a beautiful hike if you’re in the Sun Valley area!

Pretty steep hike up. We were thinking maybe we should have started by taking the TH on the left instead. Beautiful and fun hike!
