Went Jan 2, 2021. The trail, a bit longer than half a mile to hike down to the hot springs, was very slippery. The springs were prefect temperature for the snowy weather we went in. Not too crowded. If you enjoy the outdoors and a bit of adventure I would recommend this outing.

Not much hiking, but this location is all about the hot springs. We went on a Tuesday afternoon and the two lower hot springs had teenage girls in one, and a couple getting romantic in the other. we heard of a bigger hot spring higher up the mountain, and we had it all to ourselves. I had never been to a hot spring before and I have to admit I was in Heaven. Warm 80 degrees in the hot spring, and a cool 70-degree breeze hitting your face. The hot spring we enjoyed is more difficult than the others and recommend good hiking boots. It is very easy to slip on the wet rocks covered in algae. The highest hot spring is great once you get up there and the one below should only be accessed to people who are not clumpsy because one wrong move and you can fall off the cliff side. The views are amazing once you are relaxing in the hot spring. Always be respectful and pack in, and pack out. It was sad to see so many cigarette butts on the trail and other trash. Let's keep America clean folks.

More like a great adventure than a hike. It is at a campground and walk down to the hot springs. There were many and some too hot to stay in. My grandkids (14 & 8) loved them and had a great time exploring. We had our picnic while soaking in one of the Hot Springs:)!

EASY. Fun little trail that leads to some great hot springs. Spring, winter and fall are the best times to go, So the hot springs aren’t Crowded.

Fun hike. Took my 3 kids (5,5,& 8) and two dogs and they did fine. The hot springs were hot and fun! The ones down by the river were harder for the kids to get to but they made it. Beautiful view and the butterflies were so awesome to see. $5.00 for day use.

Great trail and easy hike in. Has several pools but a couple of the lower pools were over taken by the height of the river. Beautiful waterfalls and great temperature. The views were beautiful. Easy for children to get to most of the pools. The waterfall trail is a bit challenging though. Overall it was fantastic.

So beautiful, okay to do with little kids but if the middle fork is roaring high, it is difficult to access any pools further down the trail past the first pool.

We actually visited this trail and got spring at 9pm. The gate was closed so we left our car there and walked the path to the parking lot. From there the first hot spring was only a 6 minute walk. It was absolutely amazing. Perfect fit for two people. Pretty shallow, very clear warm fresh water. Love this spot.

Loved this Hot Springs! There were a number people there, and the springs are not very big, so expect to be around other people during peak seasons, and weekends...maybe just plan your trip early in the day. It was a small hike in, very easy (even in the snow). There are pools along the river as well, but they're cooler than the ones on top and in the middle area. Just beautiful! A must see for sure! The gate is still closed, but we walked down. There are two sets of restrooms on site.

I had such an amazing afternoon at Pine Flats Hot Springs. I first walk the upper trail and found a perfect little pool. The view of the river was stunning and I relaxed in the warm water for a time. Then I ventured down the trail and walked through the river, holding against the rocks. The river current was strong in some areas and this was a little tricky and COLD! Once around the rock wall, I passed through a small portion of river again and on the other side found three lovely pools. The top pool had a small warm waterfall and was lovely. On my way back I climbed up some rocks (I still can't believe that I did that, a bit dangerous and higher than I thought. I shouldn't have looked behind me.) instead of walking through the river. On the way down from the rocks there was another pool! Amazing! A fun adventure!

Nice hot springs. We hiked with our 6 kids ranging from 1-12 years old. Hot springs are 0.6 miles from parking lot according to my GPS. Take the trail down to the river. When you get right next to the river look to the steep slope to your right. You will see some hot spring pools up high (we missed these until we were headed back to the car). These pools are pretty hot. If you wade through the river around the bend you will find more pools that are prefect temperature and where you will find the waterfall. I was a little disappointed to see tarps used to create the pools. I understand why they are used but they take away from the visual of the spot. Overall all great little hike, beautiful scenery and nice hot springs. We’ll be back!

Very short, simple hike along the river from the camping parking lot. $5 day pass. The only tricky thing to navigate was climbing the slick rocks to reach different pools. The water was perfect temperature for soaking on a drizzly day last weekend. The drive from Boise is scenic and also worth a trip!

We were camping at pine flats 10/7/17&10/8/17. The park is walk up only meaning it’s open but not maintained. We double checked with the ranger station and they confirmed it was open, just not maintained (no trash collection, water, toilet paper).
