Beautiful trail, especially with snow on the ground. Saw a flock of geese and several small birds. Great place to walk your dog and catch some fresh air.
Brought my 4 children 9 - 12 years old. We went in the evening and had a great time. We saw a full grown buck, rabbits, cranes, ducks, misc birds, a fox and some other creature we couldn't figure out as it was too far away, maybe a large raccoon or something. We saw a duck come out of the water with a fish in its mouth too! It was fun to see all the animal prints on the concrete paths. My son was in a bad attitude before we got there because he thought it would be boring, because we went to Lizard Butte the previous week and wanted hills to climb again. When we left he was happy and wanted to come back.
Great trail and not very many people out today. Most of the trail is mostly an old service road/dirt road but it wasn’t bad at all. Large portions of the trail is closed off due to birds but there are other trails that branch off so I didn’t have to turn around at all. Overall a great trail for the entire family
I did the entire Loop, not just a little nature trail. But be aware there are ticks out there, I wasn't expecting that considering it's a dry area. the entire Loop is a little over three and a half miles, not hard at all. probably will not do this again as it's not as challenging as I'd like
