Summited 10/10/2020. No snow but extremely windy up top. We chose to go left up to the saddle which was shorter but much steeper. We ended up coming back down and going the longer but less steep route as our original route was extremely steep along the ridge and looked sketchy. We wasted a lot of energy doing this. Over all a fun peak.

Summited 10/3/20. Great weather for October. No wind and 70 degrees - never wore a jacket. Like most hikes in the Lost River Range lots of rock and lacks a designated trail.

Summited 7/18/20 with my dog. Just under 6 hours car to car. Suggest taking the saddle to the right as you’re heading up to the first false summit. Saw some others go straight up and they made it, but I think it seemed more difficult.

Pretty similar to Lost River Mountain. The trail along the creek bed wasn't great, maybe I just wasn't looking very well. Just follow it up as best as you can. Great views from the top of the other mountains around there like Borah, Donaldson, Lost River, etc. Bring insect repellent. Breitenbach is 12, 140 and the 5th highest peak in Idaho (one of the 9 12,000+ Idaho peaks).

The bottom part of the trip sort of has a trail that seems to cross the creek bed several times. Honestly it isn't great and I had a hard time following it most of the time. As long as you are going up and following the creek bed you are going the right direction. Once you get far enough up, just head to the visible top. When you get there you need to go back along a ridge to the actual summit. This mountain is very similar to Lost River.
