This loop starts at the Meadow Marsh Trailhead. The trail splits at about .2 miles up the trail to the left or right. You will loop back around to this intersection on your way back. This is a great loop for families with small children. It is relatively flat and half way through is Fir Grove Cut-off, if you wish to shorten your hike. From approximately December through April, the park is closed to hikers and bikers. During this time the park is open to snowshoers and cross-country skiers. No dogs are allowed in the park during winter access season, except on Rover’s Round About (a dog loop for skijoring or snowshoe walking). Meadow Marsh Loop is a snowshoe only trail in the winter, though you will need to start from the Activity Center parking lot and follow the Snowshoe trail signs. This loop connects to many other trails in the park, if you wish to extend your trip.
