this trail is part of mineral ridge trail. When you get to the top you go the other direction (right) of the main trail. the view at the top was decent but the mineral ridge trail part views are better. it has more of an incline and a bit smaller of a trail but definetly worth a look.

Great way to make the mineral ridge a longer hike. Gradual up hill to a road at the top. Some nice views.

We hiked Lost Man Trail this morning, as a supplemental to Mineral Ridge. The trail was in excellent condition. The weather was a bit cloudy, but nice for a hike. We followed a fresh moose trail on the way back, and got to see the tail end of the moose as it disappeared into the brush below. It also looks like there have been some sheep up there - not wild sheep, domesticated ones.

Lost Man Trail is an extra leg that you can add onto a hike on Mineral Ridge Trail. To hike this trail, start out as you normally would start a hike on Mineral Ridge. When you get all of the way to the top of Mineral Ridge, there will be a trail going left (west) and a trail going right (east). Take the trail to the right, and head up Lost Man's trail. The views are not quite as nice as Mineral Ridge, but it is a good way to shake things up a bit. The trail is not quite as good as Mineral Ridge trail, but good enough. I have done it in snow and mud, and it was minimal hardship.
