Lady Face Falls is a 5.3 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Stanley, Idaho that features a waterfall and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is best used from June until November. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
This is the trail to Bridalveil falls from Stanley Lake. However, instead of going all the way to the falls you will take a side detour about 2.4 miles into the hike. As you are hiking from Stanley lake you will, if paying attention, see a tiny sign telling telling you about Lady Face Falls. When you leave onto this trail from the main trail you will duck under branches, and scramble down some rocks to the nice shaded canyon below. If you want to get the better image of Lady Face, you will have to backtrack and scramble down some rocks away from any trail.
Lovely maintained trail. Clearly marked. If you want to see lady face falls seem comment below. Defiantly can’t reach all the way to the water at the falls if you have a dog. We took the turn off to Stanley lake inlet on the way Home as it looks like it connects back to the the same parking lot. Last bit by Stanley lake the trail is unmarked and basically through a swampy area that was a cow trail. It’s beautiful and fine but you have to forge your own way! You can take the normal route back with no problems! Overall so lovely!
Beautiful clear cool weather with great views of McGowan. Eliz turned back at Lady Face and Tor continued but turned back at stream crossing before Bridal Veil.
Overall pretty trail! We missed lady face and headed up to Bridalveil. the falls require a pretty gnarly uphill scramble I wouldn't recommend for the average hiker - I'd rate them at hard. I'd recommend to stop at the stream crossing and call it a day.
I did this on my mountain bike. It is a beautiful trail with very clear water with blue hues. A bit Rocky and technical for a bike at times but fun overall.
Attempted to do this hike, but I did not see the sign, or any indication of the trail splitting, from the Bridalveil Falls trail. I ended up hiking 7 miles instead of 5.3 and saw other hikers who also could not find this trail, either. The trail to Bridalveil was nice! Overall, a bit frustrating.
This was my second time doing this but today we made the effort to scramble down to the falls. That really made it worth it. Without the scramble you can’t really see much.
easy hike to the falls, but beware that trail goes to cliff overlooking the falls. unless you are willing to do some cliff scrambling you don't get much of a view of the falls. still very pretty views of surrounding mountains and valleys.
Nice hike, the falls are nice but no great spot to view them. Nice views of the mountains in the first mile was the most enjoyable part for me. Very easy hike, worth doing while at Stanley lake. Bring bug spray
Nice hike through Meadows that Culminate with a moderate climb to beautiful waterfall. The turn off to the waterfall can be easily missed. It is a shoebox size sign hammer to a tree on the right side of the trail. You can go all the way down to the waterfall and it’s worth it. Don’t forget the bug spray.
Astros in great condition with minimal uphill. Well marked for us to be able to find the waterfalls along the way.
