Great hike! Second time but this time seem tougher probably because of the heat. Tough and beautiful. I had a pretty big rattle snake cross in front of me on the trail. I was sort of in shock. I guess there is a first for every thing! I was quick enough to snap a couple of pictures once I gathered myself at a safe distance. Lots of June bugs which were more annoying than anything. It got pretty toasty and we started at 7am. Take lots of water, bug spray and sun screen along with a hat. Have fun!!!

What a great hike! Can’t beat the views at the top. A lot steep coming down in some spots, glad we took the trekking poles. Go early to beat the heat!

Steep at the beginning and end, but not too bad for the rest. There are lots of side trails that make it an easier hike, but they all go to the same spot. Beautiful views at the top.

Great trail with great views! Quite a steep climb in the beginning but then it settles down. There are bypass trails to avoid some of the rolling hills which we did on the way back. Lots of bug at the top for some reason. Very dry, no shade, bring lots of water and sunscreen!

Beautiful trail! Very steep in the beginning and approaching the summit, but well worth it. Took the bypass routes most of the way and it was still plenty strenuous

Good hike, not heavily traveled early in the day today. Wildflowers were great with arrowleaf balsamroot, lupine, flox, and more to see. We did have a rattlesnake in the middle of the rocky portion of the trail as we hiked out and luckily our dog alerted and kept us safe. The snake did rattle at us but hard to see and we had to leave the trail since he was not going anywhere. Good early season hike, nice options along the way with some bypasses. Go early, bring more water than you think you need, and make sure to pack some calories for energy.

Desert climb. There are several bypass routes, I stayed to the right all the way up, and caught the other sections on the way down. There are a couple of loose sand/rock downhills that are very steep. Consider hiking poles. The view on top of Kepros was amazing! Lots of birds and wildflowers at the moment. The only confusing trail spot was near the rock formations on the way down, the trail takes a left off the OHV trail and it isn’t well signed.

Little rocky and found a Rattle Snake (cream colour with black spots) on the way back which gave us a hissing noise with an attack posture, please watch out for snakes. It’s 9.5 miles hike which took us around 3.5 hrs with breaks and the elevation on Garmin watch shows 2453 ft but on All Trials app it shows me 2037 ft when I recorded.... which is weird!! Overall it’s worth view at top.

Highly recommend this. Tons of scenery change and variation. You get a great view of all trails at the top. Hiked it weekday in the afternoon and ran into only one person. I highly recommend taking the shortcut through the trees. Really great scenery. Really enjoyed this. Still have 2 more for the grand slam.

Very good trail - some sand and gravel. easy to follow the whole way with a few clearly marked shortcuts. Total time ~3 hours with mixed hiking and trail running. View is good from the top. No crickets, quite a few flies. Very little shade - bring atleast a liter of fluids on warm day, no water access on trail. Parking lot holds about a dozen cars, may fill up on a weekend.

Did this yesterday with my daughters and it was great! Long hike with the multiple ups and downs both ways. I like it that it wasn’t all uphill one way. Great leg workout. Go early to avoid heat and people.
