Short and to the point. Good views of the spatter cones, and the deep black volcanic gravel is striking.

Very nice short trail, is all sharp uphill so don’t use a mask.

A quick hike up an old volcano to give a great view of the area. There is no shade and it can get hot, so remain hydrated and protect yourself from the sun. If you’re visiting Craters of the Moon, you might as well climb up.

Super worth the 150 foot elevation gain! Steep climb but the views and landscape are totally worth it. Probably my favorite spot in the park. Don’t wear your hat to the top!

Quick hike up the cinder cone-but somewhat steep. Nice view of the other cinder cones along the fault line. Popular hike and a little crowded.

Fun short uphill hike. Great 360 degree views at the top. Go early in the day to beat the wind.

Had to stop a couple times to catch my breath due to the constant incline, but the site at the top offer you a 360 degree view of the horizon.

worthwhile jaunt up a volcanic hill. seemed a little more difficult than the elevation profile alone would suggest. surprisingly windy at the top, which was welcome at the end of a hot summer day
