Great well kept trail, beautiful views, huckleberries were amazing, lots of bear scat around.

What a fantastic hike! It takes a while to get to the trail head along a dirt road, but most vehicles should be able to make it, with a questionable last 100 yards or so. The views are numerous and rewarding. Don't even think about finishing the hike at the lake. Go to the top of Red Top! I promise you it will be worth it. There is a lot of bear poop. Feel free to take a scoop!

Great Hike to Hidden lake then up to Red Top Mountain. Moderate to difficult in spots. Ran into very little snow at the top and saw some bear skat but no bears. Lots of wildflowers and other flora make this a gorgeous hike. You'll encounter a few hikers on the way to the lake but very few if you head up to Red Top. Road in can be a bit rough the last few miles

Just spent a couple nights of camping in area and then hiked up to Hidden Lake from trial head. It was about 1 mile to the lake and it was beautiful. Easy hike. Would love to explore more next time and hike further! Well worth it!!! Such beautiful woods! Wasn’t too busy either for Sun-Tuesday.

This trail is always busy and the road to get up there is pretty rough. Once you get past HIdden Lake though you won't really run into other hikers. If you want to hike further there is a great little cabin that is free to stay at (West Fork Lake Cabin). It's first come first served and sleeps 4. This hike is moderate and you can definitely get it done in one day.

We really enjoyed this hike. We day hiked it July 1st and went as far as the ridge trail where there was a little snow. We plan to go back to Hidden Lake with backpacks to spend a few nights. Saw a few folks on the trail but for the most part we had it all to ourselves.

We love this hike. It is family friendly and one that my 8 year old children enjoy. The only down side was that the huckleberries weren't quite ripe.

This trail is beautiful and fun for everyone. It was an easy hike, not a whole lot of elevation change. And, the wind from the lake and occasional glimpses that you get from the lake are wonderful. There wasn't a whole lot of people there that I saw very often.

Have done this trail twice. The last time was 12 years ago. Beautiful vistas and deep forests. Recomend to anyone willing to hike back into the lake. We went in through west fork cabin that has a little meadow right in front of it, didn't stay in the cabin though. Lots of up and down pretty much none of it is flat. Planning on taking my son on this one this year. Great weekend getaway from the Spokane or Coeur d'Alene area. There used to be an old fire watch tower on the top of Red Top, not sure if it is still there.
