I wouldn’t drive all the way out here just for this. It’s a short, leisurely stroll, at best.

A very nice simple trail. At times pretty narrow, but overall relaxing and simple. Great hike

Trails much longer than all trails at shows. You can keep going for significant distance. Well-maintained, right next to the river, really pretty surroundings… Good times

This was a fun, easy trail to go on. It was well maintained and had a beautiful view of the river the whole time. Lots of flowers, huckleberries, and other wildlife to see! We took our dogs and they also loved it. It wasn’t busy at all. We saw only one other group of people on the trail. It’s one I’ll definitely do again!

Really it’s 3.5 stars....the awesome bench made from a tree and cute little waterfall at the end made it worth it. Lots of mosquitoes as other mentioned. Pretty....easy....not bad for a short hike.

Great, easy hike along a beautiful river. The hike was 4 miles round trip, but the scenery and easy hiking conditions made it fly by! Remember bug spray!

Loved this hike! Nice, easy, flat terrain. The only reason I think it would be classified as anything but easy is because of the length. We just hiked for an hour then turned around and came back. The scenery was gorgeous! Follows the river and it’s nice to have that sound in the background. There were TONS of mosquitoes though- even with bug spray. Overall really great hike.

Mid October hike. Only saw one other person in the trail and he was headed back from fishing. A bit of snow melting off the trees from a recent light snow fall. The fish ladder is interesting to see at the trail head and the trail just follows the river below. Took our dogs. Lots of ducks, geese and great blue heron in the river.

Scenic hike along the river with good opportunities to see wildlife.

Nice easy trail. The river is fairly calm this stretch, and the trail offers overlooks and a few areas of river access. I only saw one other person on the trail, but parts of it skirt around a campground so there was a lot of noise and generator smells for that section. The rest the hike was very pleasant and easy. Good for walking, running, or biking.

easy, flat trail in mostly shaded forest with beautiful wildflowers and river views.

Used the trail to go trout fishing in the Box Canyon. The trail is a very beautiful trail and for parts of it follows the top of the canyon along the escarpment. Descending to the river can be tricky at times because of a steep inclines. It’s a beautiful stretch of river and a beautiful trail. Don’t leave the trail without checking at the trail head where the Buffalo River joins the Henry’s Fork — there are two dams - one for The Buffalo and the Other for Henry’s Fork.

Beautiful walk. Easy, covered trail that runs by a lazy river that is trafficked by fisherman and river rafters. Two thirds in, there’s a waterfall across the river and a great spot to take a break and picnic. Bring bear spray and a camera. Gorgeous!

This trail is a lot of fun. Definitely not a trail that's all about the destination as there are parking lots basically at both ends. Well maintained. Beautiful vistas and space to think. I don't know how often this happens on a Sunday afternoon but I was the only soul on the entire trail. I loved it!

A agree with the last review, this hike was very easy. The day we went was cool, 52°, and breezy. The forest cover kept the strong winds out but the wind did keep the mosquitos away. I would imagine this trail would be full of mosquitoes on a nice day with no breeze. The views of the river were beautiful and the waterfall was fun to see. A nice easy groomed covered hiking trail for sure.

This was a really beautiful hike, with tree cover for most of the trail. The river views were great as well. I was a little nervous because this hike is rated at a moderate difficulty, but it was actually very easy, with little or no altitude change.

Gorgeous views of the river the whole way! Super easy flat trail. We were the only ones on it since it's mid September and just finished raining and was on the chilly side. Love the rock walls that line the river.... makes for some beautiful pictures!

Many large and small birds - grouse, hawks, etc. there are also many eagles nests in dead pines- Just gotta look up. When you get to the end where it over looks the falls, look left while sitting on the bench and the nest may still be there. Pretty flat land, nothing strenuous at all. After the bench, there's a trail that continues down towards the water.

Scenic trail that parallels the Henry's Fork River. Observed lots of wildlife and bird species. Saw ospreys, Western Tanagers, ruffed grouse, Green Tailed Towhee, yellow warblers, mountain chickadees, northern flickers, bald eagle, red tailed hawk, Townsend's Solitaire, and even a Townsend's Warbler. Hiked to where we could see the waterfall, which is across the river. Great hike, beautiful woods and scenery, and not too much elevation change.

Bugs weren't too bad, 7.8.17. Nice trail, make sure you get to the waterfall, nice bench to take in the view.

Nice trail. Very easy walk along the N Fork of the Snake. The dam is at the confluence of the Buffalo River.
