If you are looking for a workout, head straight up the mountain, great challenge. If you want a easy challenge take the trail along the river.

Beautiful scenery. A few trails, varying in difficulty, stretch for a while.

South side of river to the road, flat, nice day. Windy as usual...

Nice hike. Just do it in the morning since there is no shade. There are bugs, but nothing that bug spray can fix.

Trail was decent, fairly flat. Single file trail with fun critters like snakes, lizards and beetles but they mind their own business. Red ants, just don’t step or sit on the anthills. Beautiful river scenery, almost 5 miles round trip but nice walk. A breeze is helpful, keeps the bugs away!

Easy trail, not crowded at all, with nice scenery. No shade whatsoever, which is not unusual in Southwest Idaho. Encountered a bull snake toward the end of the trail, and my partner is very afraid of snakes, so didn’t get to the last quarter mile or so. Do watch out for numerous red anthills. Not a problem as long as you watch your step and don’t stand on them.

We had a fun family hike! Hard to know if we were actually in this trail as the ‘ridge’ was more along the snake river! Lots to see and beautiful views. Bugs got annoying on the hike back but welcome to spring! We will definitely hike this again!

First to Review

my phone's GPS was on the fritz for a while so the recording is not 100% accurate, but the ridge offers some good views after a steep and Dusty climb. Overall nice quick hike for early spring when the sun isn't an issue. bugs got annoying.
