Pros: Accessible from Sandpoint, Incline is relatively low
Cons: Potentially easy to get lost off trail, Multi-use, can get crowded
I have both hiked and ran this pleasant trail outside Sandpoint, and I think as far as trail running goes, this is one of the more appealing routes in the area for a quick evening run, or something a bit more relaxed in pace. The trail does climb, but its a gradual incline and allows you to mostly maintain your pace, if running, which can be beneficial for certain types of training. The Segway trail itself is rather short, and I have , at times, repeated the upper loop to the desired distance, but the variety of terrain keeps it interesting and you are occasionally rewarded with views of some meadows and farmland from various points on trail. One should take caution , in being alert for other trail users, esp. downhill bikers, and also be proficient in navigation , as a few detours exist that can lead a Hiker in the opposite direction of the trailhead. Overall a nice trail, and a cool gift to the people of the Sandpoint region.

Great trail in memory of a cool dog! Developed and maintained by private land owners, what a gift to the community.
