Good trail. Two trees on the trail that are easy to go over or walk around. The view is breathtaking. I went all the way to the end which ends at a road. The bathroom is open now but has not been cleaned. Wear bug spray. 5/30/2020

Moderate trail that is the steepest for the first 20 minutes. Trails is mostly through dense forest. The views come at the end with 2 stunning vista points overlooking the lake and Sandpoint.

Fantastic hike with a remarkable view of Sandpoint and Lake Pend Oreille! I forgot to bring mosquito repellent and paid dearly but the view at the end was so worth it. The first 20% of the hike is the steepest portion and then it tapers off in steepness the rest of the way up.

Stunning trail with rewarding views up top. At this very moment, it’s mosquito armageddon without proper repellent toward the top, but well worth it.

My family of 5 did this on Mother's Day. The trail is absolutely beautiful with the variety of tree species. The entire way had a series of switch back dirt trails that are not too difficult. It would be a great workout trail to push ourselves hard on. We enjoyed the reward of making it to the top and watching the sun as it began to set! We each took up snacks and something to drink at the top and enjoyed the scenery. Absolutely beautiful! The trail back down was easy. (I would say the only 2 negatives were the very small parking lot that was full, and the mosquitos for some of us.)

Awesome view at top but lots of bugs too. It would be cool to go up at sunset because the top lookout faces west so you would have an awesome view of the sunset over the lake. Only one fallen tree on the path.

Only some parts were muddy but nothing bad. There were a couple of spots I had to go around a huge tree knocked down in the middle of the trail. It took us about 2hours for a little over 5.5 miles. The view was great! It was an easy hike but great work out!!! **the bathroom is still closed**

This is an absolutely beautiful trail!!! Wish we could have made it to the top though! We will definitely have to come back and do the whole thing without the kiddos! As we hiked it seemed like it would make for a fun trail run as well.

Excellent hike! Definitely a blood pumper, but not too much.

I was really pleased with this hike! There is a gradual up hill the whole way and ends with a gorgeous view. Hard enough to get the blood pumping but not to extreme. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great view of the lake!

Note: bathrooms are closed due to Covid. Great hike with beautiful views at the top! There were two sizable blowdowns, but nothing you can't scramble over. Just enough elevation gain to make it a good workout. One of my favorites in the area.

Went up Sunday, May 2. Trail is getting better and almost all of the blown down trees have been chainsawed out of the way. Saw quite a few people, almost none with masks. Still a wonderful hike and a great workout if you push straight to the top...

Great trail! Well taken care of. I traveled to the second view point (~3miles). It was well worth the hike. The view is breath taking!

A very nice easy/moderate hike with 2 incredible views of lake Pend Oreille. Nothing much after the second viewpoint. There were some snow patches towards the top and a little bit of mud but otherwise the trail conditions were great.

There’s still a bit of snow in places but easily walkable. Trail crew needs to get on it though, tons of blow downs and water needs redirected.
