It’s A nice place to walk. We got off the trails and wondered around a lot and then went back to the trail but it’s a cute and breathable place to enjoy a nice stroll. These trails go everywhere.

HikingNo shade

It was hot as hell. Very little shade. Wouldn’t recommend for hikers - too many bikers flying down descents.

Gorgeous trail this time of year. Many birds, flowers, greenery, and also bugs. Got two mosquito bites before we even made it to the trailhead. Views are great, many creek crossings. We went counter clockwise and were happy with that choice because it’s a slower ascent.

Wonderful trail, lot of bikes. Beautiful wildflowers, scenes and smells coming down canyons we’re refreshing. Mosquitos were thick, biting through 30%deet, so consider higher doses. 5 year old daughter hiked in ballet slippers, not one word of complaint. Perfect for family, ate lunch at top. From the trailhead if you want the quicker elevation gain first in the loop, turn right at the first “T” junction. Bikers can only go counter clockwise in the loop.

I actually hiked this in the beginning of May sometime. Fun hike! Only passed a couple of people. A couple patches of snow at that time but nothing crazy.

Beautiful scenery that was very diverse. Some uphills that are harder but other than that a very good trail.

Great trail! This is actually a loop. Runs along the Big Wood for a while. Just the right amount of elevation gain and mileage for a great day hike.

We don't know where we were. The trail was beautiful deep-forest with streams and rivers and no shade whatsoever. Upper body strength is promoted by nature crafted chin-up bars along the path, lower body strength building opportunities are provided for those who two-foot tuck jump through the saddle carved fallen logs, and you will have rest as you step aside to let the young brooders pass by. There is no need to shave your legs in preparation for this hike. Having fur is encouraged and popular along this route. People who look forward to outhouse occupancy are able to provide hiking backpack evaluations; the less support the bag appears to have with more exterior water bottle pockets is the standard to achieve. Because who needs support anyway... not anyone in a chocolate gulch.

Nice hike along the river of you follow it towards the next most south trail head. Not as much shade as I was hoping for. Pretty vistas of the mountains across the way when you double back
