This is one of my favorites to backpack in with kids! I brought a group of girls for girls camp here and also my 4 children loved it!!

This is STILL one of my favorite hikes! Challenging, with serious elevation gain on rocky terrain. Three GREAT alpine lakes along the way. When storms look like they're rolling in - they are. Be prepared and safe. Unforgettable beauty.

great hike. moderate. 11 miles to the trailhead on a gravel road. 9800 elevation with a beautiful view from the ridge top divide. five alpine lakes. we went in october. fall colors and weather were perfect. can't wait to hike the entire trail. take water!
