Perfect trail for a short walk. There were rarely any inclines and plenty of benches to stop. There are multiple trails there too, each at different lengths!

It was very very muddy. The trail was well marked and I think it would have been a great hike had it not been for the long stretches of deep, slick mud.

Muddy

Overall this trail was great! it was well marked and the paths clear, but when people say it is muddy, they don't mean a little puddle here or there. There are long strips on the second half of the trail that are so slogged with wet clay mud you slip all over. My shoes were ruined. Loved it enough to try again in August when things dry out.

Good hike for kids, just prepare for them to get muddy. Nice loop in the woods with plenty of shade, and some partial views of Hayden Lake.

Great trail. Had 2 little ones in our stroller (chariot- good suspension) and did well. VERY muddy. A few pretty views. Overall would recommend. Should have brought something to put the stroller on after so the car didn’t get so muddy inside!

Walking

This is a great little trail for a quick little walk in the woods. Hard packed snow on the trail, icy in spots, cleats or tracks recommended. 1.6 mile is an easy mostly flat loop. A great place to take the kids. There is a shorter inner loop, the Gray Trail, I believe is .6 miles. There is a nice little view point deck where you get a peak of Hayden Lake through the trees.

Great for the littles. Lots of places to stop for little rest breaks and the occasional peek through the trees to see the lake below.

Pretty trail, but I didn’t realize the longer trail was across the street. This is a great one for kiddos. Fairly flat and pretty. Not a giant parking lot, but fairly good sized. There are horses every time I go as well, though they are usually in the longer trails.

easy smooth trail. dog and kid friendly. beautiful scenery, minimal views of the lake. has rest stops for snacks or whatever. nice quick introductory or jog trail. Signs do not mark your location, however it's a loop so you can't get lost.
